General Regulations
Every pupil shall respectfully greet the teachers on meeting them for the first time every day.
Morning assembly is held for the entire student body. All staff and students are expected to take part in the assembly.
Perfect silence is to be observed and strict discipline is to be maintained in class after the first bell.
Every pupil shall greet one another and the members of the staff on the occasion of the first meeting with them for the day
When the teacher enters the classroom the pupils shall rise, greet and remain standing till they are asked to sit. They shall thank the teacher when the class is over.
Religion /moral science is taught in the school in the belief that, it is vital in developing a balanced personality of every pupil.
English must be spoken within the school premises.
Pupils from one class are not allowed to be in other classes during the interval. They are to walk silently through the veranda keeping to the right.
Pupils should not leave the classroom during any period. They are prohibited from going out of the school premises during the school hours.
Admission to St.Francis Convent School, Budni implies on the part of the pupil and the parents willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school.
Students whenever they come to school must wear the uniform prescribed for the season. Those who are not dressed in uniform may be excluded from the class or even sent home. Under vests is the part of uniform.
Students must reach the school at least five minutes before the time fixed for morning school assembly.
Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of home work, disobedience and disrespect towards the members of the staff or bad moral influence will lead to dismissal. The pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both in and outside the school.
Students are strictly forbidden to bring objectionable literature to the school or to purchase any article of food from unauthorised dealers at or near the school premises.
Care must be taken for the school property; the students must not scratch or spoil the furniture, write in the walls or in any way damage what is provided for their use. Any kind of damage done to the school property must be made good. Wilful damage of the property will lead to dismissal.
Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. It is not advisable for children to bring valuable articles to school. Money should neither be lent nor borrowed.
No one may leave the school premises during school hours without the principal’s permission. Parents are not allowed to see their children or interview the teachers during school hours except with the prior permission of the headmistress/principal.
All the photographs to be used for the school purpose or to be attested by the school should be taken with the school uniform (preferably winter uniform)on.
Any student found resorting unfair means in any examination will not be allowed to write the rest of the papers in that semester examination and will not be allowed to continue studies in the school in the next session.
Letters are not to be sent to the students at the school address.
Parents are requested to keep in touch with the school authorities regarding the progress of their children. They are particularly requested to call for and check their progress report which is issued after every cycle of tests.
Vehicles will not be allowed in the school premises for safety reasons.
Students are not to bring ornaments to school and they are forbidden to come with any ‘make-ups’.
Students are not allowed to bring motorcycles/scooters /mopeds/car to school.
The rates of fees are subjected to change from time to time due to the increasing cost of maintenance and other expenses.
90% attendance will be necessary for promotion to the next class.
